It's question time!

I thought I would take this opportunity during my down time to answer any questions you may have been wanting to ask of me and my work. You can either email your questions to chrissytorney@hotmail.com or ask your question in the comments box.
I will endevour to answer them over the coming week.
And of course...what would my blog be without a photo. You wouldnt believe the time and effort it has taken to capture my two children together at the same time, not to mention the snake lolly bribes! I won't mention how long it has actually taken me to post this either!

Take care,
Chrissy xo

Oh My Goodness - The Eyes!! {Melbourne Child Photographer}

I am sure, just like myself, this Mum is always inundated with comments about her children's eyes. They are just pools of blue and reflect everything!
This family won my complimentary voucher through the Western District Autistic School's raffle. I have photographed a few of their students now and I always find these kiddos to be the most amazing and well mannered of all my clients.
Mr H loved the camera and I am sure he would still happily be outside posing for me if I didn't tell him I had enough georgous shots of him but Miss A was over me quite quickly as young diva's usually are!
We were very lucky that the Melbourne weather held off long enough for us to get outside this morning, I hope there were not too many soggy mud patches on the kids clothes.
Here are a couple of sneak peeks from this morning's session!

Dear Rebecca and Family,
Thank you for opening your home up to me, a complete stranger this morning. I love your children, they have such wonderful personalities! I hope you love these and there will be more to come!

The trouble with my Paigey Girl - {Melbourne Child Photographer}

The trouble with my Paigey Girl is that whenever I take a photo of her eyes, they look fake. I always get asked 'What did you do to her eyes?". The answer is always "Nothing"...her eyes are like crystal balls that reflect everything which sometimes includes too much light. Strangers always stop us and comment on them. *Sigh* - I wish she had gotten them from me....but alas - I have boring old brown eyes.

{Sneak Peek} - Canberra Shoot {Melbourne Child Photographer}

On Saturday the 10th January I flew to Canberra for a day trip to shoot some of my favourite kiddies and to also lunch with their Mummies. The weather was perfect and all the kiddos were fed, happy and ready for their close ups. I would be lying if I said I wasn't exhausted being 14 weeks pregnant - but with such georgous models, who's complaining!
Thanks for a lovely day!

Thank you Lucy, Samual, Tahlia, Oskar, Antonia, Rory, Indie and Milly for your smiles and patience...thank you to your Mums too for such a wonderful day out!

{Sneak Peek} - Sair, Zoe and Scarlette {Melbourne Family, Child and Baby Photographer}

I had the pleasure over the weekend to shoot this crazy bunch of girls!! We ended up at the Japanese Gardens in Campbeltown which was a lovey spot, but restricted by aweful, bright orange council tape!! Next time I will just sneak it down then pop it back up ;) Zoe really is a little firecracker and delighted in prooving how hungry she was by showing me her empty belly button! Scarlette is devine and has an amazing set of peepers, so laid back and easy to shoot. Sair - I am still on the hunt for any wilderbeasts however I think we were safe in the gardens. I feel like I have my mojo back - thanks Sair for the opportunity to shoot you and your family. I hope I have captured what it was you were looking for!

p.s. your breastfeeding shots are amazing! Thank you for sharing that special moment and allowing me to capture such a beautiful thing!

Pirate Adventure & Soggy Nappy {Paige}

Today marked two very special occasions.

1. Finally got to take some photos of my daughter Paigey that didn't include her running away from the camera as fast as she could. I might just have gotten that wall worthy shot?

AND

2. Paigey's first swim in the ocean for the season, albeit impromptu!

I decided with such lovely weather to take Paige on one of our little adventures so off we headed to Willy to hunt for special treasure.

After searching the gardens high and low we decided to head across to the beach as maybe we would have better luck there!

Instead of looking for treasure as planned Paigey decided to dip her toes in the water...but then proceeded to belly flop, bathtime style, into the ocean.

Needless to say she didn't need and bribes to get her out of the water. It was still a tad cold and I could see she was a little shocked that it wasnt nice and warm, like her bath is.

Lucky photog Mummy had a spare change of clothes in her camera bag!!

On the walk back we finally found our treasure.

pine cones!

Paige decided THESE were 'pwetty Mummy' and proceeded to try and carry 3-4 in her little hands back to the car.

What an adventure!!

May your weekend be full of them!!
